Elf on the Shelf, Season 2025 - Episode 2

Last week our elves sponsored Colin's trip to university orientation day, ate all his chocolate and ended up at the ER. What have they been up to this week?

Colin's doctor's note primarily concerned sports and the use of electronic devices, which is why he generously took the whole week off from school. This is the consequence of the fact that paper notebooks are no longer used these days at school, only online portals ;-)

Our elves Biscuit and Cookie took advantage of this by inviting Colin to a screen-free activity. They had compiled a list of bakeries/cafés that sell Swedish cinnamon rolls. So it happened that we drove into town together in the middle of the week and had lunch at a Scandinavian restaurant. Strangely enough, they didn't have any meatballs on the menu. Still, it was nice, and we were so full afterwards that we just shared a cinnamon bun and didn't go to another café. So much for the challenge.

The next day, we continued with the Swedish theme. Our elves bought a Christmas tree at IKEA. It came in separate parts and now has to be assembled with a lot of patience.

All done - they look pretty pleased!

Just like every year, our lovely elves not only provided but also washed new holiday PJs.

Piper Chapman from "Orange is the new Black" was happy about her visitors in prison.

Colin's gloves were getting very worn, so Cookie and Biscuit got him some new ones.

The other morning, the elves warned us about "water running from the basement."

The water....

And that's another week in the books. Keep your eyes open for more shenanigans!
