Ultimate Blog Challenge - Hello from🇨🇭 Switzerland!

Just a quick note to let you know I have decided to try and participate in a new blog challenge. Not just any blog challenge - the ultimate blog challenge!

What's ultimate about it?

That's what I'm inviting you to find out with me.

How did I learn about it?

I read on Janet's Smiles blog that she plans to do it, so I thought it's be fun to tag along.

I met Janet a few years ago when we both did the A-Z Blogging Challenge as I have been doing during the month of April every year  since 2014.

As I understand, the ultimate blog challenge is about writing a blog post every single day. There will be a suggested prompt sent out every night (actually morning if you live in Europe like I do), and it's up to you to use it or chose some other topic.

Today's assignment was a simple introductory post, just as I'm doing right here.

If you're new to my blog:

Welcome, nice to meet you!

Who am I, and what made me start my blog?

I am a Swiss part-time working Hockey Mom, that's pretty much everything there is to know about me.

I started blogging in 2012. My first post was the story of a purse I was *forced* to purchase, and the story seemed to lengthy to post on Facebook, so without thinking about target groups, niches, continuity and other factors, I quickly set up my blog and took it from there...

This is a recent picture with my teenage son Colin, who is the reason for my working part-time. Driving him to and from hockey practice several times a week is a part-time job on its own, so there's just not enough hours in a day to work full time. His team is a 50 - 60 minutes' drive away. While he trains, I run errands, get snacks and try and squeeze in some blogging, provided there is a place to sit down and access the internet, which was a challenge last winter when everything was closed, no thanks to the pandemic.

Should you be interested to follow me on any social media platforms, I'd be happy to connect:

YouTube - Pinterest - Instagram - Facebook

So please, drop me a line, introduce yourself and leave a link to your blog so I can visit you at your place!

  6. I used to do 5 days a week and that was a lot of work. I don't think I will be up for the ultimate blog challenge (I like A to Z, but that's enough!). Happy to read along with yours though :)
