Elf on the Shelf, Season 2024 - Episode 2

Last week, our elves asked "would you rather" - Home Alone version, brought holiday PJs and made Colin guess the songs using pictures from famous cities. Let's see what Cookie and bicuit have been up to this week:

Barbies cruising, elves scooting... Where do you think they're going? Wait, I know... Our company is opening its village advent calendar window tonight. There's gonna be gingerbread and hot beverages, maybe cold ones, too 

The elves didn't understand that the pink convertible can only be driven by Barbies. They stole the car at night for a joyride, and what had to happen, happened...

Here's what the accident report says, does any of it sound familiar..?

“I was driving down the road the other day, and I was in my van … And this dang deer just jumped out in front of my van, and I didn’t even know what was going on. If I swerve, then I might go off the road and hit a snowdrift? And I was just trying to pick up Timmy from soccer, and I didn’t ask for that deer to go out in the middle of the road. If I hit the deer, then I got that on my mind all day and I gotta clean off my car, and there’s possible dents. But then you know you gotta think about - if you swerve, they tell you not to do that in traffic class, and I was late to pick Timmy up, and he’s like Mom, you’re late” and is just, you know, nagging at me the whole rest of the day, and it’s all because of the dang deer.”

Cookie and Biscuit stocked on individual cereal boxes, and to make things more fun, they come gift wrapped. What Colin hasn't discovered yet it that some of the packages don't contain cereal ;-)

He discovered it on Monday morning and wasn't amused. They contained Yogurette, a bar filled with yogurt and strawberries coated in smooth milk chocolate. And yes, Monday morning breakfast isn't complete without the football highlights.

Someone crafty made pillowcases out of our old Christmas pjamas, and while she was at it, she also made ugly holiday sweaters for our elves. Well, they're not that ugly, are they?

Can you believe it's halftime already? On a scale of 1 to 10, how ready are you for Christmas?

I'm between 5 and 6:

1️⃣ Bah Humbug: You haven’t started thinking about Christmas yet—no decorations, no gifts, and no spirit (maybe even an unlit Grinch figurine somewhere).

2️⃣ Slightly Frosty: You remembered it’s December, maybe grabbed a candy cane or two but haven’t done much else.

3️⃣ Spark of Joy: You’ve mentally started a list or pinned a couple of ideas but haven’t taken action yet.

4️⃣ Tinsel in Progress: You’ve done one or two things—maybe bought a gift or hung a wreath but still have a long way to go.

5️⃣ Holly-Jolly Average: You’ve started decorating or gift-shopping, and maybe you’ve set a date for cookie-baking.

6️⃣ Decked Halfway: You’ve got a tree, some lights, and some gifts bought, but it’s definitely still a work in progress.

7️⃣ Elf Mode: Most gifts are purchased, decorations are up, and there’s a batch of cookies cooling on the counter.

8️⃣ Santa’s Apprentice: Your home looks festive, the gift pile is nearly done, and you’re ticking off smaller tasks like meal planning.
