December is a short month, usually full of festive activities = photo opportunities, so of course the hard part is to pick only five pictures.
My coworker had two weeks off, meaning I had to work full time, meaning I missed out on most of our usual fun outings, meaning I had a hard time getting into the Holiday spirit.
Let's focus on the things we got to do, though.
I discovered an ad of a local pub that was asking for toy donations, Colin said he was sure he could part with some of his - some were never even opened and used, others in good condition.
What a win/win - having your kid purge while hopefully making other kids' days!
Luck had it that our hockey arena hosted the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck on occasion of the last game before the Christmas break. It never gets old. Give me an illuminated Coke Mack and some Melanie Thornton songs, and I'm a happy girl!
It was Colin's and a teammate's turn to escort the team onto the ice. He is the boy on the right wearing the "golden" helmet representing the top scorer challenge.
The video is your bonus and doesn't technically count as a picture anyway, so enjoy!
They always do a nice job creating a festive atmosphere at the outdoor rink.
What would the Holiday season be without daily visits of our Elf on the Shelf? More of Cookie's (that's our Elf's name) adventures here. Love the lumberjack shirt Cookie borrowed from Ken.
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
I guess I goofed. I thought it was “jingle jangle” lol so my post may be off. Any way. It was fun. Happy New Year’s Eve!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun-filled Christmas! The pictures all look lovely.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family too! Beautiful photos
ReplyDeleteYou picked five great areas in which to focus for the holidays! I love that Colin was willing to part with some of his toys to make someone else's Christmas merry. Holiday lights and displays always give me a warm feeling inside. Your dinner looks delish...and I hope Santa brings a belated Christmas roasting pan for you. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou did a terrific job of getting into the holiday spirit! Those holiday lights around the outdoor rink give me a great idea to bring forward to our community association. Sorry to hear about your roasting pan...maybe there's a clearance sale on them now that the holiday season is over? Happy New Year to you and yours. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat set of photos for the theme, even if it had been hard to get into the spirit! Always good to give this time of year, that's for sure. And I like the lit-up Coke truck. A few too many veggies for my liking, but the dinner looks good!
