Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award

It's been a while since someone has nominated my blog for an award.

Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award is an unofficial award to the bloggers as a reward of wonderful work on their blogs. It’s just as important because it really reflects the good impact we can have on other people’s lives. It is important for the inspiration towards the success journey of our fellow bloggers and especially newbie’s to become (Rising Stars).

As always with these awards, there are rules attached:

  1. Introduce the person who nominated you.
  2. Answer the questions they have asked you in their post.
  3. Nominate and notify a bunch of other people. Actually nine people. Which basically makes these awards modern times' chain letters.
  4. Give them new five questions they will have to answer.
  5. Provide the link of the award creator of the Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award
  6. Go back to the person who nominated you and share your own Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award.

Here goes:

I met Andrew over at Freestar aka Humanist during this year's A - Z blogging challenge. Thanks so much for the nomination, Andrew! He asked me the following questions:

  1. Have you ever met anyone online (blogs, dating sites – whatever) and then taken it from the virtual to the “real” world, and what happened? Indeed, quite many times. The most important one was my Facebook friend Beth. We met in 2009 while playing an online game called "Sorority Sisters", for which I was an Admin at the time. We immediately connected and befriended each other. FB Messages were going back and forth. My boy was a baby, and she literally witnessed his growing up. Finally, ialmost ten years later, my family and I were enjoying a road trip that took us from Toronto, Canada, to the Niagara Falls, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia (where Beth lives), New York City (where I had another encounter, you may read about it here) and Boston. Beth, her son and my family met at the King of Prussia Mall, where we enjoyed lunch and coffee and chatted away. Most likely it would have even cooler if it was just the two of us, but that'll be for another time.

  2. If you could meet anyone – Historical or Present Day – who would it be and why? I'd like to meet my paternal Grandparents who sadly died before I was even born. I would love to hear their stories and experience enduring the WW II (even though in neutral Switzerland) and of course all about my Dad and his sibling as young children.
  3. Who would you want as a Creative Writing Coach? Call me bigheaded, but I don't think I need help in the creative department. My fantasy is vivid enough as it is. If you happen to know a patient person who would be willing to work with me on structure, strategy and discipline, that's what I might benefit from. In order to still answer your question, I would not mind meeting Sophie Kinsella. She has figured out how to take her writing to the next level and become a best selling author!
  4. What is the Blog Post of which you were most proud but which got less of a response than you hoped – (please link to the post)? I can't think of one specific post. However, my entire 2019 A - Z series on crime did not get enough attention and recognition, especially considering the amount of time I spent researching and writing.
  5. Do you agree with the idea that we make a choice as to how we are going to die at quite an early age and do you think that choice influences whether that death will come to pass oh, and if you have made such a choice – care to share? I have not thought about this particularly. If you're convinced you're going to die from coronary issues or cancer, your odds are in your "favor" anyway. What I can tell you is that I have my documents ready in terms of DNR and organ donation.

Whoa, may we go back to happier subjects? Here are my five questions for the bloggers I'm going to nominate in a minute:

  1. If you were an animal, what would you be?
  2. In what way has this pandemic changed your perception of the world?
  3. Have you ever lived abroad? If not, would you consider it?
  4. What are your personal contributions towards reducing your carbon footprint?
  5. If I were to visit you in your town or city, what adventures would we experience there?

Here are the nine blogs - in alphabetical order - I'd like to nominate for this Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award. They all have something in common, we met in April of one of the past years.

Here's a hint: in April we write, post and connect our little hearts out during the annual A - Z Blogging Challenge!

  1. Thanks so much for the nomination, Tamara! I am honored to be considered one of your favorites. I think I started following you during your Crime A to Z, so it wasn't a total bust, right? -- LOL. I'll be posting my answers to your questions soon.

  2. Great answers Tamara! I started following you in 2020 with your great A2Z on Swissair - you infuse everything you describe with interest. Do you write fiction too?

  3. Thank my friend. I really needed this boost. I'm working on it and I'm sorry I'm so far behind... but I think this will help get me back into what I LOVE doing.
