It’s fall, y’all!

Welcome back to another episode of A'lil Hoohaa's monthly photo blogging challenge.

Our prompt for the month of October was It’s fall, y’all!

Fall is among my favorite times of year!

Inspired by our bracelet making for the Taylor Swift concert, I made some fall-themed ones! You can't read them well, so here's the round-up: Seattle Seahawks, complete with a little football bead, Jucker Farm, which is the name of my happy pumpkin place, Starbucks Coffee, with a coffee mug, sweater weather, pumpkin spice and leaves are falling. Also "get the vote out".

We had two weeks off at the beginning of October, which gave my husband the opportunity to work on a (work) project at home in peace and quiet, as he said. We still went away for a few days every now and then. We spent this wonderful day in the Lötschental, a lesser-known part of Valais, in the Swiss Alps. We came across a black-nosed mother sheep who had just given birth to two cute little lambs. I've never seen anything like it. It's not exactly typical for fall, as lambs are usually born in spring, but I didn't want you to miss it. You can watch a video of the babies as they try to get up and walk their first steps. Sound on for a faint little baahhhh!

Unfortunately what followed was a streak of nasty weather until we had to go back to work. So with a forecast of semi-blue sky and no rain on one of my days off thanks to working part-time, a friend and I benefitted from a walk in this beautiful forest. This year the foliage was particularly colorful. Apparently we have certain weather constellations to thank for this - it can't have been the rain though!

Walk at Lake Zurich's shore after a day in the city. I am working on a larger-scale blog project. In short I'm trying to (dis?)prove that Zurich is just like any European city.

This beautiful listed building, which today houses museums, galleries, an event hall, studios, retail space and apartments, was the Löwenbräu brewery for around 100 years from the end of the 1800s. With its bright red bricks, it looks like it's fall all year round!

Even on foggy, gray days, the deciduous trees shine in their splendor! This week I had some time and walked to my acupuncture appointment. Speaking of health, I finally have a new GP and she prescribed me a mild, non-addictive sleeping pill. Also, my labs have improved massively compared to a year ago, and my blood pressure is perfect these days. So the hard work has paid off!

I hope you enjoyed my fall pictures, and yes, there were six ;-) Consider the bracelets a bonus!
