A Day in the Life

In February, A lil Hoohaa launched a monthly video challenge, first topic being "Potpourri". In March he invited us to tell our personal story. For the April project he sent us to experience some outdoor adventures.

In May, we were supposed to document a day in the life.

How do you approach something like that? Do you pick a special day? Blue skies, birds chirping, people frolicking and eating ice cream by the lake?

In other words, instagrammable sights?

Or do you show an ordinary work day? And if so, how do you still make it entertaining?

As it happened, I was running out of coffee. Happens to the best of us, right? So why not make that my content? After all, life writes the best stories.

As you can see, I use ground coffee to make my version of pour over coffee.

You may also wonder why I am not using the perfectly fine Nespresso capsule machine sitting right there. The answer is simple: I do not consider capsule coffee worthy of being called coffee. I'd rather have no coffee at all than drink a questionable brown beverage.

And that's where the extended title of the video came from: from "A Day in the Life" to "A Day in the Life of a Coffee Snob". Here's the link to the video.

  1. Ha! I don't like brewed coffee. I only drink instant.

  2. So as this started... I thought it was going to be all coffee and overcoming. I say this because I have zero clue with coffee. In my lifetime, I've maybe -- MAYBE -- drank half a cup. The taste ... the smell. I can't do any of it.

But then I saw what you were doing (I admit, I went to the video before reading the post as I like to see the video first and then the story behind it!)

I liked it. Well done. And I hope the coffee the next day gave you what you needed! :D
