Welcome back to Top Ten Thursday!
Today let's brainstorm an upcoming project: top ten ideas on how to remodel your terrace, how to fit in more exercise into your days or how to pimp your blog,...?
Colin's birthday is less than a month away. Just like in previous years (2012, 2013, 2014, 2017 he wants his party to be travel / sports themed. This is what I came up with:
- Pin the tail to the donkey game. Instead of a tail I will cut out the shape of Switzerland, and the kids take turns in trying to pin it to the world map - blindfolded, of course.
- Chocolate Tasting: if I can get my hands on at least four types of chocolate other that Swiss, let's chop those bars and put some pieces into neutral containers for the kids to taste and find out the origin. I'm thinking Belgian, German, Italian and British?
- Flag Frenzy, a fast-paced card game where players race to match flags from 57 countries around the world.
- Where were your clothes manufactured. It'll be interesting to find out if there are any kids wearing locally produced T-Shirts or socks.
- Odd one out: 3/4 landmarks are in Paris, so they have to identify the Colosseo in Rome.
- Airport Word Scramble by Moms and Munchkins
- Toss each other an inflatable globe (water ball) while music is playing. The player who's in possession of the ball as the music stops, is eliminated. Same concept as musical chairs.
- Sort flash cards that contain Airport Codes from West SAN to East HND
- Representing Brazil and / or Canada: goal wall shooting: soccer and / hockey
- Learn how to write "Happy Birthday" in another language that doesn't use our letters, for example Japanese お誕生日おめでとうございます, Hebrew יום הולדת שמח and Russian с днем рождения
What project(s) did you brainstorm? Let me know in the comments below or better yet, link up your own post.
